Health Quality Partners of Southern California, a part of the broader Health Center Partners Family of Companies, has been awarded an extensive five-year grant worth $5 million from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. This landmark funding is med at significantly improving access to quality oral health care for seniors, forming a crucial component of a larger initiative that totals over $15 million dedicated to senior oral health.
In this collaborative effort, Health Quality Partners partners with several Federally Qualified Health Centers including Community Health Systems, Inc., Imperial Beach Community Clinic, Indian Health Council, Inc., Neighborhood Healthcare, San Ysidro Health Center, Father Joe’s Villages, Vista Community Clinic, along with the County of San Diego's Health and Services Agency under Medical Care Services. The collective effort encompasses services for 51,977 senior patients as of 2022, among whom 10,757 approximately 21 have had at least one dental visit.
Delta Dental has been instrumental in fostering collaborations, encouraging innovation, and expanding oral health services since launching its Senior Oral Health Partnership program. The grant signifies a significant stride towards improving the oral health outcomes for seniors residing in San Diego County.
